Exeter Squash Juniors represent Devon

Junior Squash players at East Gloucester Open

Well done to two of our Junior Squash Players, Ellie and Ralph. who did the club proud, competing at the East Gloucester Open last weekend.

Sanctioned by England Squash, it attracted some serious competition from across the UK.

Ellie played in a strong U13 girls field which included two top 10 England players and the Wales No 2 and managed a credible 4th place finish, winning 3 out of 4 matches and only losing to the No1 seed.

Ralph, in the U11s category, managed to see off some strong competition on his way to the final. In a tremendously close battle, sadly Ralph lost 2-1 but was very pleased with some squash goodies and a 2nd place trophy.

Both Ralph and Ellie play for Exeter Golf and Country Club Juniors and for Devon, representing the club on their travels.

Exeter Golf and Country Club has a lively community of Junior Squash players, with children aged 5 and over, of all levels of ability and experience.

If you’re a member at the club and think your child would enjoy getting involved, take them along to the squash courts on Sunday mornings at 10am to find out more.
