REDEFINING GOLF IN DEVON

18 HOLES OF SCENIC PARKLAND BY BRAID & MACKENZIE

The new 2026 course at Exeter Golf and Country Club is set to redefine golf in the South West – a spectacular redesign that blends strategic shot-making, natural Devon scenery and unforgettable finishing holes.

From the opening tee, players are drawn into a course that rewards precision over power, beginning with a clever dogleg par 4 before building through tree-lined fairways, elevated greens and risk-and-reward opportunities that challenge every level of golfer.

Signature moments arrive throughout the front nine: the sweeping 517-yard 3rd offers bold players a chance to reach in two, while the demanding 8th showcases the club’s rich history beside the iconic approach to Wear Park and the famous white clubhouse.

Dramatic elevation changes, carefully sculpted bunkering and panoramic views towards Haldon Forest create a course that is as visually stunning as it is tactically engaging.

The back nine raises the intensity even further with a collection of memorable holes designed to test nerve, creativity and course management. Water becomes a striking feature on the beautiful par-3 10th, where a perfectly struck iron is rewarded and anything less punished.

Short par 4s at 13 and 14 tempt aggressive play with birdie opportunities, while the formidable 15th – a sharp 90-degree dogleg – is destined to become one of the most talked-about holes in the region. Precision remains essential right to the finish, culminating in a breathtaking signature 18th regarded as one of the most challenging closing holes in the South West.

Framed by water, dramatic bunkering, the Georgian Wear Park house and its stunning terrace, the final green delivers a spectacular end to a course designed to be unforgettable from first tee to final putt.
