Prices shown are for Monthly Direct Debit payments based on an average adult aged 31 – 64.

FAQs
We offer flexible memberships to suit every lifestyle:
- Swimming Membership – Full access to indoor and outdoor pools, jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room
- Fitness and Swimming Membership – Includes swimming plus gym and group fitness classes
- Rackets and Swimming Membership – Includes tennis, squash, and swimming
- Golf Membership – Currently available for women only; men’s golf is on a waiting list
You can customise your membership by adding other activities like rackets or golf as bolt-ons at any time.
Opening times vary by facility, but generally:
- Gym and pools: Open from 6:30am weekdays, 7:00am weekends
- Golf course and tennis courts: Open daily from 7:00am (weather permitting)
- Wear Park Spa: 9:00am – 7:00pm (subject to appointments) – closed on Sundays
Bank holidays may have different hours — please check in advance.
Closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
Yes. Members enjoy access to modern, well-maintained changing rooms, with:
- Private showers
- Dyson hair dryers and GHDs in the dry Changing Rooms
- Lockers (bring your own padlock or purchase at reception for swim changing rooms – the dry changing rooms use your membership card)
- Family and accessible changing areas in the pool area
We pride ourselves on maintaining a clean, comfortable, and premium environment throughout the club.

Yes – the Exeter Golf Academy is open to all members of Exeter Golf and Country Club.

Additional fees apply for balls, lessons and custom fitting.
Yes – if you hold a Fitness and Swimming membership, you can book unlimited group exercise classes. Other members can pay-as-you-go per class. Rackets Members can access Cardio Tennis.
- Yoga, Pilates, Les Mills classes, HIIT, Spin, Circuits, Functional Fitness, Aqua classes and more
- Classes run morning through evening, 7 days a week
Booking is available via the member app.
We offer tours of the club and can arrange a one-day guest pass so you can explore the facilities for £20 per person which is redeemable against membership when you join. Book a tour, meet the team, and see if it’s right for you.
Yes – we’re a multi-generational, family-friendly club. Junior memberships are available and include access for children to the pools, tennis and squash courts – with add-ons for gym membership from 12, plus access to payable coaching across rackets and golf.
Men’s golf membership is currently on a waiting list. However, women’s golf membership is available now.

What Darren says at the end is so true…don’t be scared to come into the gym or get started…no-one’s judging you and yes, everyone’s just doing their own thing!
Follow Darren’s journey with our experienced PT Rich, to get him running a 5K @parkrun later this year, after his heart attack at the end of 2024.
Twelve months later with GP consultation, Darren is progressing through a structured strength training programme and a gradual walk-to-run plan, to re-build his fitness for the parkrun with his son Oscar.
Guided by Personal Trainer Rich Fleming at Exeter Golf & Country Club, Darren is focussing on strengthening his heart, improving stamina, nutrition for blood pressure and cholesterol, and regaining confidence in what his body could do.
A walk–run programme can be one of the safest and most effective ways to return to exercise after a cardiac event. It strengthens the heart, boosts energy, supports weight management, and improves mood - helping reduce fear around movement.
Every element of Darren’s training has been carefully planned by Rich, and he wears a chest heart monitor to ensure his heart rate remains within a specified safe zone.
Rich explains, ‘I created Darren’s programme following the British Heart Foundation and NHS guidelines for Heart patients, and I spoke to a few heart specialists while creating the programme so that it was not too difficult for Darren to follow and carry out. Although Darren did not have a heart attack due to anything in particular, I am still following precautionary measures to reduce the chances of recurrence and to allow a better outcome through his training.’

Great results to kick off the week as the weather finally played ball 🎾
The women’s A team delivered a dominant 8–0 win over Sidmouth to go top of Division 2, while the men’s A team battled away at Bovey Tracey and secured a 6–4 victory — two championship tie-break wins proving the difference — leaving them second in Division 1.
On Monday, the men’s C team edged Lympstone 5–4 to move up to second in Division 4.
After a disrupted winter season, it was the perfect return to clear evenings and proper league tennis.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us on Thursday for our member talk with Elle Mace.
Elle shared powerful insights on how to build a happy, healthy relationship with food - covering what dieting really does to the body, why cortisol can play a bigger role in weight gain than we realise, and why so many people struggle with their relationship with food and body image.
It was an eye-opening and thought-provoking evening to help people reframe their approach to nutrition.
