Double Award Recognition for Exeter Golf and Country Club: Celebrating Excellence in Fitness and Leisure
Exeter Golf and Country Club is proud to announce its double nomination in two highly respected industry awards, marking a milestone year for the club’s commitment to health, fitness, and leisure excellence.
The club has been shortlisted for the National Fitness Awards 2025, the UK’s largest celebration of gyms and fitness facilities. Exeter Golf and Country Club is a finalist in the Health Club of the Year category, with winners set to be revealed at a prestigious ceremony in Leicester this November, hosted by broadcaster Natalie Sawyer.
Locally, the club is also a finalist in the Leisure & Tourism category at the Exeter Living Awards 2025, which honour the organisations that help shape Exeter into a dynamic and welcoming city. The Award Ceremony takes place on 16th October at Sandy Park. This is the second time the club has been recognised in these awards, having been a Leisure and Tourism Finalist and the winner of the Hair and Beauty Award, almost a decade ago.
The annual National Fitness Awards recognise excellence and achievement in gyms throughout the country with shortlisted facilities being as far north as Aberdeen and as far south as Devon.
The awards are organised by Script Events in conjunction with leading fitness industry magazine Workout, with support from headline sponsor ServiceSport. Up to nine finalists have been selected in each category, with a judge set to visit the facilities and chat to members and staff before compiling a comprehensive report.
National Fitness Awards’ event director Dominic Musgrave said: “The National Fitness Awards are now in their 15th year and with more entries than ever before, our finalists really have reason to celebrate too as it’s a huge achievement to have made the shortlist and is testament to the teams behind each.”
These accolades follow a significant investment in the club’s facilities, including:
A state-of-the-art gym with cutting-edge equipment
A stylish new members’ bar offering a relaxed social space
Refurbished changing rooms designed for comfort and convenience
Chris Jones, General Manager at Exeter Golf and Country Club, commented:
“To be shortlisted for both the National Fitness Awards and the Exeter Living Awards in the same year is a fantastic honour. It’s a real testament to our team, who work tirelessly to deliver the best possible experience, and to our members, whose enthusiasm and support make the club such a special community.”
