Dartmoor League – Exeter Golf & CC v Tavistock
Exeter travelled to Tavistock GC to compete in the Knock Out Cup match away to Tavistock. The team and pairings were:Simon Courtney/Neil WhittakerBen Reynolds/Bobby WickesLuke Hines/Arby May Jeff Densham/James Kane Jamie Broom/James Mullins  Captain Simon Courtney commented, ‘the day started very cold day at Tavistock and despite the conditions our lads put up a good fight in 40mph winds against a strong Tavistock team that proved too good on the day.’  After a few very closely contended matches a 4-1 win for Tavistock was the final result.
Dartmoor League Spring Cup
On a sunny day at Bigbury Golf Club Exeter Golf & CC put out two good pairings of Darren Thorpe with Pete Beaven and Johnny Fairman partnering Steve Sheldon. The event, involving all the DML teams, was a Better Ball format with both pairs scores added together. The Exeter pairings carded two under par scores with Pete and Darren scoring a great 41 points and Steve with Johnny a good 38.
Looking likely we had a chance on the day however despite the stunning weather and some amazing golf Exeter came in 5th place with Dainton Park lifting the trophy.
East Devon Golf League
Exeter Golf & CC v Exminster GC Exeter Golf and Country Club travelled to Axe Cliff on Saturday 26th April for the season opening League match against Exminster. Skipper Jamie Broom was delighted with a 5-0 whitewash and said the team were all fantastic, especially when forgoing the opportunity to play on the opening day on the new 2026 course at Exeter. Captain Broom added ‘This showed true loyalty and team spirit, and it paid dividends with a great result!’
