What type of bride are you?

Are you feeling overwhelmed about the plethora of decisions that need to be made for your Big Day? Sometimes going back to basics and working out your bridal style can help simplify everything, leaving you feeling less exasperated and more in control.

Read on to discover whether you’re a classic bride who wants to put on the event of a lifetime or a boho bride who is effortless and carefree. Whatever your style, Exeter Golf and Country Club can host the wedding of your dreams.

Hosted in our beautiful Georgian manor house, Wear Park Weddings are for up to 50 guests in the day and up to 130 guests in the evening. From your walk down the aisle to your last dance, your personal wedding coordinator will ensure every step of your big day is just how you dreamed it would be.

With floor-to-ceiling windows and glorious views of the greens, the manor house is the perfect canvas for your wedding – no matter what type of bride you are!

Classic Bride

A traditionalist at heart, you want your wedding dress to be timeless, sophisticated, and refined. Think white satin dresses with sleek lines that are both super flattering and feminine. The same fuss free glamour goes for your wedding tablescape, flowers, decorations and accessories.

The aim is understated elegance with a few glamourous touches from pearl or diamond jewellery to a lace wedding veil. The classic bride wants to look the best version of herself, keeping make up and hair fuss free and elegant.

We recommend our Pro-Glow Renewal+ facial in the lead up to the big day for visibly refreshed and rebalanced skin with a lit-from-within glow. Available at our onsite Wear Park Spa.

Romantic Bride

Softer and perhaps even a bit whimsical, the romantic bride’s dress can be off white or even pale pink with a floral-patterned bodice or lace detailing – think tulle, chiffon and lace combined with loose hair and pretty make up. Wedding posies should include pastel coloured, wild blooms like garden roses, peonies, sweet peas or even daisies.

Visit Wear Park Spa and treat yourself to our luxury manicure and pedicure for the big day.

Boho Bride

Admitedly, there’s some crossover between the romantic bride and the boho bride, but the difference is the boho bride is less traditional, effortless, and carefree. Boho wedding dresses feature flowy silhouettes that move freely, often with lace details or fringes. Boho brides are free-spirited and draw on influences from hippie culture, so opt for a wedding with a festival vibe.

Glamourous Bride

Like a Hollywood movie star, a glamourous bride wants to stand out and make her red-carpet moment last all day! This bride is all about the frills and the drama of the occasion. Think dramatic silhouettes, ballgowns, sparkly beading, and feathers. This show-stopping bride wants to dazzle her wedding guests! Think bold make up with smoky eyes, lots of lashes and bright red lipstick.

The key to glam wedding decor is opulence. From sparkling table linen to crystal cut glasses and chandeliers, it’s about adding luxurious elements to every aspect of the big day.

Treat yourself from head to toe with our Netar Nourishing body wrap for next level, hydrated skin.

Non-Traditional Bride

Quite simply, anything goes! From wedding jumpsuits or three-piece suits to brightly coloured bridal wear, this bride doesn’t want to conform with tradition. This bride’s day is all about expressing her style in a confident and nonapologetic way!

These unconventional brides want to infuse their wedding with their personality and style, but it’s also important to consider the season, your wedding venue, and, of course, your budget.
