Congratulations to Luke Gresham reaching the final of the Race to Woodhall Spa.
Luke Gresham went to Bowood Golf Club in Cornwall on Monday to compete in the Race to Woodhall Spa regional final.
Luke recorded 38pts to win the Regional Final and now travels to Woodhall Spa, the home to England Golf, in August to contest the final.
Luke said, “I had a comfortable front nine with 20 points. The rain made the back nine much tougher, but I still managed 18 points, which was enough to secure first place and qualify for the finals in August at Woodhall Spa.”
Luke gained his first handicap 4 years ago and has progressed from down from a 24 handicap index to a 8 handicap index. The Race of Woodhall Spa involved hundreds of thousand club golfers from around the UK having their playing record assessed over the past 12 months and the top man and woman golfer from each club has the chance to compete in a regional final. From here the top few players progress to compete in a national final at Woodhall Spa in August.
