Jacob has availability between 7am and 8pm through the week and on some Saturdays.

“One of my proudest moments was working with Pam, a 78-year-old client who initially struggled with balance, walking, and daily tasks. When we started, she could only manage an 8kg deadlift from her knees. Six months later, she was deadlifting over 60kg, hiking with her husband, and living a more mobile, active life.

I’ve worked with a wide range of clients—from athletes looking to improve performance, to individuals recovering from injuries or aiming to prevent them – to older adults wanting to move better and feel stronger in daily life.

My approach is always tailored to the individual, whether that’s helping an athlete reach the next level, guiding someone through safe and effective rehab, or empowering someone later in life to regain their independence.”

“I wanted to feel better in myself and be physically stronger, especially as I’ll be 55 years old this year, so I decided to invest in myself and book 6 x 1 hour personal training sessions with Jacob.

We first discussed my personal goals, the main one being that I have always wanted to bench press my own body weight (70kg).  The whole of our session is always spent in the new weights area and mainly using one of the racks so that we can squat, lunge and lift.

After a few weeks of weighted squats and lunges we shifted the focus onto flat bench, incline bench and other exercises like dips and shoulder work. I really like that every week our session is different and while I warm up for a few minutes on the rower Jacob talks me through what we will be doing for the next hour.

We first started on my one rep maximum bench press, then 3, 5 and 10. In my 8th session we returned back to the one rep maximum bench press and Jacob told me that by the end of the session I will achieve my goal of lifting 70kg.  He was right, I only went and did it for the first time ever, and I was delighted. 

My all-round strength is improving, and this has helped me to achieve other goals such as doing dips without any bands for assistance, 4 sets of 5 which I certainly couldn’t do a few weeks ago. 

He has so much knowledge and the tips and small changes he advises when doing any lifting exercise always makes such a massive difference. 

I now feel so much better in myself, definitely stronger and I am looking forward to the summer.  

It is my 11th session with him tomorrow which I am really looking forward to, and I am going to continue to book him every week going forward. Thanks Jacob, you’ve really helped me in so many ways.”
