Jim’s Tennis Doubles Double

Congratulations to Jim Hsin, who completed the double on Sunday by winning the men’s doubles club tournament to add to the mixed title that he won earlier this month.

The weekend’s men’s and ladies’ events were very well contested with both finals being decided in nail biting championship tie-breaks.

Following the round robin stage it was the clear that the men’s final was going to be evenly balanced as both pairs could only be split by a tie-break the first time around.

Jim partnered Jack Puddiphatt against the fellow B team pair of JP Smith and Mark Collyer, ultimately prevailing 7-6 3-6 10-8.

Not to be outdone, the ladies’ final was equally close. Gwen Lloyd-Edwards and Tricia Emery held their nerve in another championship tie-break to defeat Eleanor Bucci and Tracey Agutter 0-6 6-2 10-8.

Thanks to everyone who took part and congratulations to Jim, Jack, Gwen and Tricia.

Keep an eye out for more information about the Handicap Doubles in November. Can anyone stop Jim from winning the treble…
