Agricultural Mechanic

We are looking for a fully qualified Agricultural Mechanic to join our Greenkeeping team on the Golf Course. Experience is essential.

The ideal candidate should be competent in machinery repairs, servicing and welding. Ideally, the candidate will also have greenkeeping skills so that they may assist the greenkeepers when required. Being self motivated is essential.

The position is ideal for a self-motivated, enthusiastic person with a keen eye for detail. A hardworking attitude is essential to enable the Club to present the course in the best possible condition.

Job description

This is a rare opportunity for an Agricultural Mechanic to join the Greenkeepers team at one of the region’s top golf courses.

The Club is seeking to employ a Golf Course Mechanic with the following attributes:

A high level of attention to detail in maintaining a large fleet of greenkeeping equipment
Ability to service machinery per manufacturer’s instructions
Ability to maintain service records and conform to H&S regulations
Ability to work within budgetary constraints
Be highly self-motivated and well organised
Have a strong and flexible work ethic
Can work well within a close-knit team
Good communication skills
To carry out some greenkeeping duties (training will be provided)

Working alongside the Golf Course Course Manager, Deputy Course Manager and other Greenkeepers the Agricultural Mechanic will work to ensure that the equipment and machinery required to maintain the golf course, are in full-working condition.

Hours and Contract

40 hours a week, weekend and Bank Holiday work on rotational basis.

Salary: £19K – £24K depending on experience.
