JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for an experienced Assistant Pools Manager to help lead one of Devon’s finest swimming facilities.
Working alongside our Head of Swimming, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of our beautiful indoor pool, heated outdoor pool, jacuzzi, steam and sauna facilities, ensuring every member enjoys a safe, welcoming and first-class experience.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to step into a leadership role where you’ll make a real impact – developing your team, maintaining the highest operational standards and helping shape the future of swimming at Exeter Golf and Country Club.
WHAT YOU’LL DOÂ
Lead the day-to-day operation of our indoor and outdoor pools and wet-side facilities.
Support, coach and inspire our lifeguard team.
Oversee pool plant operations, water quality and safety compliance.
Produce staff rotas and support recruitment and training.
Deliver exceptional customer service to members and guests.
Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation and safety.
Work closely with maintenance and operational teams to keep everything running smoothly.

You’ll be someone who leads from the front, enjoys working with people and takes pride in delivering outstanding standards.
ESSENTIAL
RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
Pool Plant Operations Level 3
Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong knowledge of Health & Safety
Flexible approach to evenings, weekends and bank holiday working
DESIRABLE
RLSS Trainer Assessor
SEQ Level 2 Swimming Teaching Qualification
Previous leisure or swimming pool management experience
