What do you do?
I have been employed at the Club for many years and during that time have worked on Reception but now
am the Membership Secretary and spend my time processing and acknowledging new memberships and helping members with queries. I am also the Board Secretary when I take Minutes and deal with Company share transfers.
What do you love about the club and working in leisure?
I enjoy working at the Club with the variety of my work, the members, my colleagues and the surroundings – which is why I am one of the longest serving members of staff.

A sentence about you?
I came to Devon with friends for six months with the intention of returning to Birmingham, but loved it so much I decided to stay and now here I am nearly 40 years later!
Favourite leisure activities?
I love to walk and, along with my husband Andy, have completed some of the South West Coastal Path and look forward to covering some more this year. Mary Jo taught me to swim when I was in my 30’s and I have lessons now and again to try and improve my technique, but I am still on a learning curve! Music is another one of my pleasures and I enjoy going to musicals and concerts.
