Get Expert Insight Into Your Squat Technique and Support Sports Science Research
Members at Exeter Golf & Country Club are invited to take part in an exciting Sports Rehabilitation research study investigating back squat movement patterns.
The study forms part of an MSc dissertation in Sports Rehabilitation and aims to explore how feedback influences movement patterns during the back squat exercise. Researchers are seeking 40 participants, comprising 20 male and 20 female volunteers.
The research is led by Rich Fleming, a Personal Trainer at Exeter Golf & Country Club who is currently completing his MSc in Sports Rehabilitation. Alongside supporting members with their health and fitness goals, Rich has a strong interest in strength training, movement analysis and injury prevention. His dissertation research focuses on understanding how feedback can influence squat technique, with the aim of contributing valuable evidence to the fields of sports performance and rehabilitation.
To take part, participants must:
Be aged between 18 and 45
Have at least six months of back squat experience
Be confident performing the back squat
Be currently injury-free
The study requires just one hour of participation.
Volunteers are randomly assigned to either a feedback group or a non-feedback group, allowing researchers to analyse the impact of feedback on squat technique and movement patterns.
Participants receive personalised insight into their squat technique while contributing to valuable sports science research that could help inform future approaches to strength training, performance enhancement and injury prevention.
