Golf practice bays

Eight, all-weather, golf practice bays for shots covering varying distances, along with four target specific greens to aid accuracy. Excellent for iron play and target practice.

The short game area

Formed using the most advanced Pro System artificial grass, the technology and construction offers the same response, spin, roll and break as a natural tournament green at a championship golf course.

To celebrate Exeter Golf and Country Club’s signature 18th hole, the chipping green is modeled on the 18th green in terms of undulation, layout and shape, with multiple chipping pods each fitted with varying lengths of artificial grass and set at varying inclines. It has a practice bunker with the same bunker sand as the 18th fairway.

The putting green design is the same size as the right-hand-side putting green outside Wear Park house at Exeter Golf and Country Club. The synthetic putting green will measure nearly 500 metre square.

Coaching at the academy

Topsham Golf Academy is a state of the art, complete all year around facility providing the very best coaching and practice opportunities in the South West.

The undercover practice range allows all weather coaching, along with evening and winter coaching due to the ground level lighting. The range targets develop accuracy along with the opportunity to practice varying distance shots.

Coaching for short game skills using the chipping and putting greens provides the most realistic practice possible, away from the golf course.

The professional team offer the most comprehensive coaching programmes in the area using a combination of the coaching bay and indoor studio at the main site near the Pro Shop and golf course.

Coaching is available to golfers of all ages and abilities and on both a group and individual basis.

The golf coaching and fitting bay will be fitted with a top of the range launch monitor allowing the coach to provide the golfer with the data needed to be able to clearly and simply understand where improvements need to be made.

A fully-enclosed indoor golf simultator studio is available to book at Exeter Golf and Country Club. The studio enables golfers to play a round of golf at some of the best international golf courses in the world and improve their play through in-depth coaching analysis.
