Sports performance and cycling specialist Pilates Instructor, Georgia Vaines,has a class at the club every Thursday at 11.30am!

Georgia is a BASI (Body Arts and Science International) qualified Pilates Instructor.

BASI pilates is a precise form of pilates that focuses on specific muscle recruitment through all ranges of movement for a strong and balanced body.

Some of the benefits of Pilates include:

– Pelvic stability
– Improved strength and muscle tone
– Improved posture and alignment
– Improved joint mobility and flexibility
– Improved sports performance whilst preventing injury

Georgia is a keen triathlete so very interested in pilates for sports performance and injury prevention, particularly cycling.

Georgia says, “I’m a mum of two girls and also a Pre and post natal specialist (although this is not a post natal specific class) I love to help women re-gain strength and pelvic stability after child birth to get back to the sports they love as well as having the functional strength required for motherhood.”
