JOB DESCRIPTION
From greeting our members and guests with a smile to supervising the swimming pools, jacuzzi, steam room and changing rooms, the job of a Lifeguard at Exeter Golf and Country Club is a varied one!
Committed to maintaining the highest levels of safety and attentiveness while at poolside, as a Lifeguard you need an excellent attention to detail and the ability to work well within a team and alone.
Confident and assertive in dealing with all ages, while being welcoming and friendly, our Lifeguards cover all areas of the pools and changing rooms from a usage and cleanliness point of view.
EXPERIENCE
Supervise the pool according to RLSS standards and club rules
Lead by example
Positively dealing with and learning from members feedback and concerns.
Greeting members and visitors at all times with a smile.
Keeping the plant rooms working and in good condition.
Carrying out pool tests and dealing with any problems accordingly
Cleaning all pools and maintain high water quality
Maintain a high level of cleanness around the pool
Liaising with line manager to ensure works are carried out with minimal disruption to operations.
Reporting routine maintenance of the club’s equipment.
Liaising with operational team to ensure works are carried out with minimal disruption to operations.
Prioritising works and keeping the operations team informed.
Undertaking any other reasonable duties as directed by the Head of Swimming
Arriving for your shift on time and in correct uniform (clean, smart and presentable at all time).
Follow all procedures set in place.
Constantly looking for ways to improve current practices.

To ensure that works being carried out are cost effective and to agreed standards.
Having knowledge of departmental standards
Must have a valid RLSS NPLQ qualification
