Men’s Squash and Racketball Teams
Exeter Golf and Country Club’s 1st Squash Team kicked off the 2024 squash season with a 3-1 win against Kingsbridge 1st Team with a 14-3 win in overall points for the Division 1 table. Big 3-0 wins each for Jamie Williamson, Josh Williamson and veteran Robbie Brown helped make light work of the evening.
Â
The Exeter Golf and County Club Racketball 2nd team played against the 2nd Team from Newton Abbott, again at home, but sadly didn’t find the win on the evening, losing 16-4 overall. Both home teams enjoyed hosting the dinners afterwards with a fantastic chilli and chips and drinks in the new Member’s Bar.
Â
Over at Exeter University, Exeter Golf and Country Club’s 2nd Squash Team trounced the Uni 3rd team 3-1 in matches and 13-4 in games overall. Â Well captained by Tim Hodges!

Devon Squash Juniors
The 2024 Devon Squash Junior Champs took place this weekend at the Devon and Exeter Squash Club.
Exeter Golf and Country Club had a very strong entry in both the U11s and the U13s, with four of the twelve juniors entered into the U11s category.
The Exeter Golf and Country Club juniors managed to claim Gold, Silver and Bronze, with Albie Hill, Max Webber and Ralph van Zijl respectively. Â
Also, hats off to Exeter’s Harry Brown who entered his first Devon champs and played incredibly well throughout.
Ellie Sharpe was also in action in two categories, facing some fierce competition in the mixed U13s category and also taking the trophy in the Girls U13s.
Dom Perrriam had some fantastic matches in the Mixed U13 and represented the club with integrity and fight!Â
It was a superb weekend of squash and great to see a group of Exeter Golf and Country Club kids enjoying the battles against Devon’s best juniors!
