PSA Pro and Tournaments Report

Exeter Golf and Country Club hosted the PSA Pro Tournament from Saturday 25th to Sunday 26th June, featuring high level professional squash players from all over the world, including Sri Lanka, New Zealand and  South Korea as well as local players.

Amongst the line up was Exeter’s Head of Squash and event organiser, Mike Harris, who was knocked out in the semi-final round against the eventual winner, Ravindu Laksiri from Sri Lanka.

Jon Sharpe, Men’s Squash Captain said, “The standard of squash was fantastic. Fast paced, skillful and entertaining. All played in the very good spirits with not a spare piece of carpet, let alone a spare seat for the semi finals and final on Sunday.”

A junior graded tournament also took place on the Saturday with an adult graded tournament on the Sunday.

Jon continued, “The atmosphere was electric and great to see such high levels of support and participation.”

Thank you to sponsors: Rob Insall, Polly and John Woodhams, David Robertson and Richard May (Maze).
