What is Microdermabrasion?
Basically, microdermabrasion is a beauty flash treatment that offers results over relaxation.
Clinically proven, Crystal Clear Microdermabrasion delivers visible results from the first treatment, but offers progressive results over time. A safe, controlled method of skin exfoliation allowing superficial peeling of the Stratum Corneum to reduce its thickness.Â
A flow of crystals are directed at speed on to the skin surface gently removes the epidermal cells layer by layer. Used crystals and dead skin cells are drawn away through the vacuum action.
Exfoliation depth can be varied and allows for the controlled exfoliation of the Stratum Corneum which promotes a smoother fresher skin to emerge thus correcting surface irregularities.

What happens during a Microdermabrasion treatment?
Reveal new skin
Following an in-depth consultation, the Spa Therapist will complete a double cleanse of the skin using the Crystal Clear Soothing Cleaning Gel. The Crystal Clear Oxygen Face Polish is used to gently exfoliate the skin, followed by the Crystal Clear Refreshing Spritz.Â
Once the skin is prepped, the Crystal Clear crystals are applied to the skin. Using the Crystal Clear technology, the crushed micro-crystals are blown onto the skin at high speed to buff the surface, the crystals and dead skin cells are sucked back into the container. The Spa Therapist will glide the dermabrasion wand over the face, concentrating on any areas of particular concern such as scarring, pigmentation or fine lines such as around the lips and eyes. Â The vacuum action will reveal smoother, brighter, more radiant skin.Â
Lift and plump
Following the crystal exfoliation, the treatment then moves to lifting and plumping using suction technology. Moving from the neck, upwards over the face and across the forehead, the vacuum action increases blood flow, while lifting and firming the muscles.Â
Treatment is completed with the Crystal Clear Hydration Mask to lock in moisture and provides an invisible second skin effect. The mask is applied across the face including over the eyes and mouth, if the client is comfortable with that. The lifting and firming action of the mask can be felt on the skin, with a tingly sensation while it sets.
While the mask sets to a rubbery consistency, the Spa Therapist will treat you to a relaxing scalp or arm and hand massage. The mask is peeled off in one piece, from the top of the face down to below the jawline, revealing radiant, hydrated skin which looks immediately brighter with a lit-from-within glow. Â
A refreshing spritz is applied to revitalise the skin, followed by the Crystal Clear SPF40 and Skin Brightening Complex Cream or Skin Repair Moisturiser to finish the treatment.
