A unique Sunday Lunch dining experience is coming to Exeter – Piano Sunday Lunches
Wear Park Restaurant at Exeter Golf and Country Club is launching a new style Sunday Lunch from 7th February. Acclaimed local pianist, Matt Carter who has played with Beverley Knight, Joss Stone and at many famous jazz clubs, will be performing every Sunday from 12.30pm until 3pm in the restaurant.
The restaurant in the Georgian manor house at the club on Topsham Road, Exeter has long been popular for Sunday lunches and is open to the public as well as members of the club. Served on white linen tables with views of the putting green and fountain on the 18th hole of the golf course, the roast meat and seasonal vegetables are local, the wine menu, starters and desserts are creative and modern, and now the relaxed atmosphere will have an added ambiance with Matt’s repetoire of classical, jazz and soulful piano played live.
Following the busiest autumn and Christmas for ten years, the restaurant team wanted to create a unique Sunday lunch experience in Exeter, maximising the relaxed elegance of the restaurant at the club. As Matt Carter is one of the top pianists in the Exeter area, it was a natural partnership.
Chris Jones, General Manager said, “We are very excited to welcome Matt to the restaurant as our resident pianist. Matt is one of the best pianists I have encountered and I know that his music will create a special ambiance while our guests enjoy lunch with their family and friends. As well as serving the finest quality food and drink, in one of Exeter’s most beautiful locations, we are now proud to offer a Sunday lunch experience that truly is a cut above the rest.”
Families are welcome with a children’s two course Sunday lunch available.
A special Valentine’s themed Piano Sunday Lunch will take place on Sunday 14th February.
