Online Shopping – Are You Getting the Real Deal?
We would like to make you aware of some recent issues regarding purchasing equipment through the internet. Whilst it might seem like a cheaper option, beware of taxes being added at the end of the transaction. In your Pro Shop we offer you the opportunity to trial the latest equipment and at the same time offer you professional advice. We want to ensure that our members are using the correct clubs and, rest assured, all equipment we sell is authentic!

The Inmates Plate
The course was playing tough for this Saturday’s Inmates Plate competition, with soft ground conditions and the full course distance now back in play after the use of the winter tees. Bret Harvey and Kim Tucker won the event with a fine score of 66, which was good enough to beat the pairing of brothers, Dean and Jack Jordan, by 0.5 of a shot. In third place, with a score of 67, were golf manager, Russell Mayne, and Vice Captain, Tim Harris, meaning the top three were only separated by a single shot. Les Nicks and George Roberts completed the prize winners’ spots with their score of 69, which was good enough for 4th position.

Ladies Medal 1
Ladies Vice Captain, Anne Norman, won the Silver division in the first medal of the year with a score of 74. This gave her a one shot victory over Alison Scoble. Third place and another shot behind was Linda Beevers. Jill Searle won the Bronze 1 division with a fine score of 70, the only under par round of the day. Liz Harding and Beverly Meeke were both three shots behind with 73, with Liz taking second position on count back. Rita Watson’s 75 was good enough for a two-shot victory in the Bronze 2 division. Count back was again required as both Carol Gregory and Ann Willett produced 77, with Carol having a favourable finish to take second.
