Ladies’ Medal 7 and Ball Memorial
Gill Whitehead won last Tuesday’s medal with a fantastic gross 67. This 5 under par round also becomes the new Ladies’ course record. Congratulations Gill! Kym Kortland continued her good run of form, coming in second place with a nett 67. Janet Macklin was in third, losing out to Kym on count back. Maureen Lilley won the Bronze 1 Division with a fine 66, beating Vera Anderson by a shot. Corinna Knowles was a shot further back in third place. Beverly Meeke won the Bronze 2 Division with a 67, beating both Sharon Thorpe and Nikki Pattison by two shots. Sharon came in second place on count back.

Ball Memorial Trophy
Saturday’s Order of Merit event saw some of the lowest scoring in the club’s history. Thunder showers were present throughout the day but with the softened conditions, along with the quality of the putting greens, this did not deter the scoring. Ryan Pope won the gross prize with a fantastic four under par 65, beating Steve Buzza on countback. Max Burrow was a further shot back with 66. Ryan’s score was also good enough to come 2nd in Division One by a single shot over Martin Pitcher. The Division One winner and new Ball Memorial champion was John Cossey, with a fine net 62 – this giving him a comfortable three shot victory. Derek Kaye won Division Two with a nett 65, beating Rob Flower into second place by two shots. Roger Ellis came in third, a shot further back.
