The festive season has officially started at Wear Park Spa with a fabulous ESPA Gift Evening complete with mince pies and mulled wine.
The spa team from Wear Park Spa celebrated a successful start of the Christmas season after what has been a memorable year for the spa having won the Exeter Living Award for Best Beauty Venue and Bronze in the Devon Tourism Awards. Our spa therapists were joined by some of the team from ESPA Head Office.
Guests on the evening were entered into a competition to win a Luxury Spa Day for Two. They were also treated to mini treatments and 12 month’s of spa offers to last throughout 2017.
On Sunday 13th November Exeter Golf and Country Club was host to some of the best young squash players from around the country as it ran an England Squash Bronze ranking event. 58 players in total came to the club to play the tournament with over 100 matches being played in the day across the club’s 5 squash courts.
The standard across all age groups (from Under 11 years to Under 19 years) was very high and some quality squash was played. Standout matches were the boys U13 Semis and final and the Girls U17 Final. It was great to see so many good young players competing at the club and it definitely set the standard for some of the club members watching!
We look forward to running more Junior events like this in the future, and will look to cement the club as being one of the premier venues for squash in the South West! There will be a Professional ranking event in the New Year so keep an eye out.
