We are delighted to announce that Darren Everett will be joining Exeter Golf and Country Club as our new Head Golf Professional. Darren will be starting his new role from mid May, and brings with him a team of three experienced golf professionals.
With twenty years as a PGA golf professional under his belt, coaching, marketing and retail awards and his ongoing position as Vice Chairman of the Devon PGA, we are confident that Darren will be welcomed by our members.
Darren’s team includes: James Maxwell, PGA Qualified Professional, former Wales Amateur International and winner of five regional Pro-ams; Chris Honeywill, PGA Trainee Professional, former Devon County Amateur and a fitness for golf enthusiast; and, Darren’s wife, Leah Everett, a former England Ladies Golf Eagles Squad Member.
Promising a strong focus on improving the golf experience for our members, Darren is dedicated to promoting ladies and junior golf, developing new golfers through the Get Into Golf scheme and providing golf products of the highest standards at competitive prices through a well-presented shop.
Darren is currently at Teign Valley and is looking forward to getting to know our members, or catching up with those he already knows.
2016 is a momentous year for golf here at the club. Darren is excited to be joining this year, when we celebrate our 121st anniversary as a golf club as well as the launch of our redesigned course. Look out for more about Darren and his plans in emails to follow, along with details of the Summer Festival of Golf launch week from 18th July.
