Squash at Exeter Golf and Country Club is going from strength to strength and they are enjoying a flying start to the season, with a 5 – 0 win earlier this week against Crediton and another against Newton Abbot.
Exeter Golf and Country Club’s 4th squash team gave a solid performance this week, beating Tiverton 2, by 4 matches to 1.
Mark Starling and Chris Gaite got the team off to a flying start, each winning 3-0, and 1st string Dave Hazzard had a hard fought match at 1, finally winning out 3-2.
Paul Randle was suffering with back problems but still managed to pick up a point, finally losing 3-1, and Betty Blair finished events off winning 3-2.
Final score EGCC(4) 18 points, Tiverton(2) 7 points.
