Sport Relief Exeter, 22nd March 2014
With March on the way, we are approaching the time when people start donning their lycra cycle shorts and dusting off their running shoes in order to raise money for Sports Relief.
Sport Relief works both at home in the UK and internationally to support those suffering from homelessness, domestic abuse, poor education and life threatening illnesses. Here in the South West, Sport Relief supports charities such as International Care Networks, providing shelter and rehabilitation to victims of trafficking, Encompass South West, who provide essential care and support to vulnerable elderly people, and Sea Sanctuary who provide therapeutic intervention for young people suffering with mental health issues.
Exeter Golf and Country Club are making the most of our fantastic facilities in order to do our bit for the community. We are using the skills of our talented workforce to provide an afternoon of activities, including golf, tennis, tag rugby, cricket and boot camp!
Activities will begin at 2pm and will conclude with an awards ceremony, presented by our wonderful Club President, Hilary Weatherly. Hotdogs and snacks will be available on the day.
