Play Bridge in Exeter
All members of Exeter Golf and Country Club have the chance to join Bridge for just £1 a year! This popular, social and stimulating game is played a number of times a week, with beginner and improver classes available to help you master all the tricks and the moves you’ll need to succeed. For more information visit the Bridge Club’s very own website which details times and results.
The Bridge section at Exeter Golf and Country Club has flourished into one of the most popular activities within the Club. Since it starting over 20 years ago, the Bridge section has grown to have over 100 members and now meets every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evening, plus Wednesday afternoons with a variety of games for all abilities.
Bridge is not just popular at Exeter Golf and Country Club, in fact the card game is played by 220 million people world-wide and one in fifteen people in the UK alone – it is one of our favourite past-times and is currently enjoying a huge resurgence of popularity. Interestingly, China and Poland have integrated Bridge within their National Curriculum as has even been said to help prevent degenerative diseases.
Although there is always an eventual winner in Bridge many of our players enjoy the game for its social side and become firm friends as well as Bridge partners. It is the perfect way to meet other members of the Club.
Club members who would like to join the Bridge Section may play on a trial basis on Monday or Tuesday evening for a maximum of three sessions. Membership application forms are available from Reception.

The course is two terms of 10 lessons and cost to Club Members will be £60 a term and non-members £75 per term. This course follows the recommended English Bridge Union syllabus and the bidding system will enable
