Yoga

Yoga is available on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at Exeter Golf and Country Club. With two yoga instructors, the classes available are varied and welcome both members and non members with all levels of experience, from beginners yoga to more advanced yoga.

Annelie Carver has been an instructor since 2010 and offers Hatha, Conditioning and Parent and Toddler Yoga at Exeter Golf and Country Club, find out more about her here.

Ann Oliver has been an instructor for many years and has offered Hatha Yoga at Exeter Golf and Country Club for the past decade.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha yoga classes on on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with Annelie Carver and Ann Oliver. Both instructors are highly experienced in Hatha. There are many benefits of Hatha – both physical and mental.  Hatha yoga improves flexibility and muscle joint mobility; strengthens, tones, and builds muscles; strengthens the spine; corrects the posture; improves muscular skeletal conditions such as back ache, stiff neck, bad knees and scoliosis, as well as increasing stamina. Hatha is renowned for relaxation benefits with breathing practises and an element of meditation.

Yoga Conditioning

Annelie has developed a new style of yoga called Yoga Conditioning, which incorporates traditional practices and dynamic sequences with a focus on improving posture, developing core strength, stamina and improving strength and flexibility in a wide range of muscle groups. These classes are particularly beneficial for those who practice sports and are looking for a form of cross-training and conditioning practice. The classes also incorporate breathing and relaxation practices which help develop concentration and focus.

Thursday, 11.20am – 12.45pm with Annelie, free to Gym Members, £4 for Club Members, £7 for Non Members

Parent and Toddler Yoga

These classes are for parents and little ones to practice together. The classes include short routines to music, colouring, stories and yoga games.

Monday, 10.30am – 11.15am with Annelie, free to Gym Members, £4 for Club Members, £7 for Non Members
