Our new Pro Golf Team starting mid-May specialise in junior golf coaching and Exeter Golf and Country Club with its short game area and putting greens is a great place to learn.
Darren Everett, new Head Golf Pro and his team are committed to providing consistent, developmental coaching for under 16s. Their coaching is available in three age groups. 5 – 8 years, 9.30am – 10.30am / 9 – 12 years, 10.30am – 11.30am / 13 years and over, 11.30am – 12.30pm.
Having been the home club of a number of the UK’s best young golfers recently, including the British Boys Champion 2012 and the ICT National Champion 2013, Exeter Golf and Country Club is renowned for its development of juniors and its progressive junior coaching programmes – the HSBC Grass Roots programme and the Golf Foundation Junior Golf Passport Scheme.
What is the Junior Golf Academy
The Junior Golf Passport is available for both current members and the public and the programme is regarded as the best start when it comes to children learning to play golf.
The first session is free for new golfers, with a multi-layered programme to progress from novice to junior golf and onto golf membership as an adult.
The national structured learning programme is endorsed by the PGA and is available to book in six week courses.
9.30am-10.30am – for ages 5 to 8 years
10.30am-11.30am – for ages 9 to 12 years
11.30am-12.30pm – for ages 13+
Family Golf Coaching
We are starting a brand new golf coaching programme to let families learn together. The course is a great opportunity for mums and dads to learn to play golf with their children and is the only one in the region.
