Goodbye Brian!

On Friday 3rd June, Brian Chidgey ended his service at Exeter Golf and Country Club.

Brian Chidgey has been an integral part of Exeter Golf and Country Club for 26 years, he has been working behind the scenes keeping our beautiful greens and its cumbersome machinery in tip top condition ensuring EGCC offers the best golf experience possible.

Starting in April 1985 he has seen the club go through various changes and been part of many developments. Brian is one of a number of veteran staff who have been at the club for over 25 years, Martin Halse, General Manager said “Exeter Golf and Country Club is a very diverse and friendly place to work and our long standing members of staff are proof and product of the inclusive environment we foster at the club”

At Brian’s leaving party on Friday 3rd June he was presented with a card, wine and gift from all the staff at EGCC. John Parr, Golf Course Manager, paid tribute to the excellent work he has done during his time at the club contributing to the success the team through his invaluable knowledge, skills and experience. He wished him the very best for the future.

Brian will go on to work 3 days a week keeping someone else’s machinery happy and healthy, as well as continuing his private gardening service, and being a vintage motorcycle enthusiast, we hope he finds more time to indulge his hobby!

From all the staff at EGCC,

We wish Brian the very best!
